Conveyancing Quality Scheme – Demonstrating compliance and surviving the assessment

National

Changes to the CQS standard from May 2019 has seen the introduction of both Desk Based Assessments and Onsite Assessments. Practices will be selected for assessment both reactively and through random selection.

The assessment will be both technical and qualitative and will require CQS accredited firms to demonstrate compliance with the CQS scheme throughout the Conveyancing Department, including the ability to evidence the Core Practice Management Standard requirements and The Law Society Conveyancing Protocol requirements through their conduct of conveyancing files.

This webinar is specifically designed for firms who are both CQS accredited, and those firms who are currently working towards attaining accreditation.

The presenter, Tracy Thompson, who is a CQS Lead Assessor, will provide guidance on what to expect if your firm is selected for assessment in addition to gaining practical experience of how to evidence the CPMS requirements to the assessor.
